Mary Colgan-Bennetts started demARTS at the Siuslaw Public Library in Florence, Oregon. The yearly event brought artists and art-lovers together for a day of art-making. The video is a tribute to Mary and demARTS. Mary retired from the library because of an illness. She died in 2019.
