I really like the description of VR being an empathy machine. I think that the point of journalism is to share people’s stories and this technology allows you to be put in someone else’s shoes. I think that, as with most things, there are going to be new ethical dilemmas that arise and we should be careful about what we do with this developing technology. In the case of VR, I think that it can be very persuasive and that opens a whole new world up to things other than journalism such as advertisements. I also liked the work with the three different types: text-based stories, 360-video and VR to compare and contrast different aspects of VR.
