It&#8217;s something the company has tried before with mixed results. And it&#8217;s impossible to tell if this time will work, or exactly how it will work. But clearly Gannett sees video as an important part of the mix.<\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beet.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beet.Tv<\/a> has an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beet.tv\/2011\/10\/the-new-york-times-is-embracing-video-as-primary-reporting-tool.html\" target=\"_blank\">interview with\u00c2\u00a0Ann Derry<\/a>, Editorial Director of Video and Television for The New York Times. It&#8217;s about 2.5 minutes long. Interesting ideas towards the middle where she says they want to integrate video into the general mix \u00c2\u00a0&#8211; &#8220;Our goal is to grow video up through the actual reporting. <strong>To do real video journalism<\/strong>&#8220;.
