Finding Features at an event<\/strong><\/p>\n

Goal<\/strong> – To look for strong visual moments at a daily event. To challenge yourself to see moments, be aware of light, and composition and frame.<\/p>\n

For this feature assignment<\/strong> you must find an event, get permission to attend, and shoot feature photos of the participants. This can be any scheduled (non-sporting)<\/span> event on or off campus. BUT, think<\/strong> about the photo possibilities before choosing!\u00c2\u00a0 Will there be decent light? Will the activity lend itself to good photos? Will there be action, emotion, an interesting background, interaction between participants?<\/p>\n

Obviously, I hope, it’s clear you are not posing<\/span><\/strong> your subjects. You will be looking for real moments in real situations.<\/p>\n

Good photos come from good situations – so part of your job (and grade) will be to pick good events.<\/p>\n

For Class I would like three (3) different edited<\/strong> images – NOT just variations on the same idea.\u00c2\u00a0 Think about what focal length you’ll need for a given situation, how close to get, what’s happening and where you need to stand.<\/p>\n
