Bob?

Where have all the Bob’s gone???

Points: 100

Assigned:  Monday, February 10, 2020

Due: Sunday, February 23, 2020 @ 11.59pm

So, it turns out Bobs have disappeared from professional sports.  We have discovered a major social trend and breaking story.

Perhaps Bobs are in short supply throughout society? Who are these few remaining Bob’s? What do they do? What are they like?

We will find out.

Your assignment:

  • 1. Find someone named Bob (they must go by Bob, not Robert, Bobby, Bubba etc….though their legal name can be Robert)
  • 2. Produce a documentary photograph of them at work or at play – NOT A PORTRAIT.
  • 3. You CAN’T shoot the same Bob as someone else from class. If they tell you someone else has contacted them, move on…

Bob the bus driver driving the bus. Bob the chemistry teacher teaching chemistry. Bob the student…well…being a student.

The goal is to make visually interesting and compelling photos that say something about this person.

Your caption, in addition to the basic AP style content MUST contain a quote from Bob about his name – why he likes it, hates it, whatever…

I want to see two toned and caption images as well as your entire take.
Don’t forget AP style captions!
Usual rules apply
75 photos minimum
90 minutes shooting minimum

Your entire take of images (raws), along with your toned and captioned selections should be on the project server BEFORE the start of class. Make sure your files are organized using the method discussed in class. Your folder should look something like this:
