An interesting read on niemanlab.org on ProPublica.
ProPublica is perhaps best known as the non-profit site for serious investigative journalism. Funded by donations and support from a foundation they hope to provide the indepth reporting many news organizations can no longer afford.
But as the article points out their website also contains a lot of daily and short form reporting to keep people interested and engaged.
It’s a good example of the efforts journalism organizations are making to find models that work.
